This cake base is ideal to make fruit gateaux accompanied by crème pâtissière. By using our base you can put together an elaborate creation very easily and delight your guests.

Given that the recipe makes it a succulent and rich cake on its own, there is no need to soak it in syrup. It combines well with any filling, as long as you ensure the layers are thin, to ensure the texture is not damaged.
